Research In Motion to debute Wifi Blackberry

blackberry-8800.jpgWith all the hype lately from Apple’s iPhone other great mobile phones have not made much news, but RIM has announced that they will be releasing their first ever Wifi enabled blackberry. The new Blackberry model will be the 8820 and will follow along with their latest Blackberry Curve as far as media features and size. This new model will feature a 320×240 display, a trackball navigation system, voice and data functionality, GPS and Wifi. Research in Motion already has a strong following with business users and have recently started targeting media features to compliment their devices and now adding Wifi makes them a do-it-all product that unlike some new mobile devices are already proven to work flawlessly. While I was shopping around for a new phone about 3 months ago I checked out several models with and without Wifi and thought to myself, I really don’t need Wifi, then my co-founder here at Jawjab goes out and buys a HTC that is Wifi enabled and all he has been telling me is how Wifi on his new phone is the best feature, so my blackjack while it is a good phone may be heading in for a trade in soon. Below are more features.

1) Dual Mode- Voice and Data over cellular and Wifi networks

2)Micromemory cards up to 32 gigs

3) Bluetooth 2.0

4)Voice activated dialing

5) Removeable battery
